How to apply for a loan.

To apply for a loan from your cooperative, follow the steps below

1. Log in to your account. You can find more detail about accessing your account here.

2. Click on Transactions

3. Click on the transact button and select loan

4. Next, select the type of loan you want and click on the "apply" button.

Note: You can scroll to the right to see more loans created by the cooperative

5. Enter your desired amount (For loans with a range). If the loan is 2 times your savings for example, the amount field will be automatically populated.

6. Next enter the duration (If the duration has a range) and then select your account (This account is the cooperative account type the loan is tied to, usually savings), and click "next" to proceed.

7. Next you'll see a projected repayment schedule based on the loan parameters entered. 

8. Select your guarantor (the guarantor must be a valid member) by entering his email address in the field. This action will select a guarantor and notify them.

Note: If your cooperative does not require a guarantor, you'll be redirected to the preview page after the repayment schedule page.

9. Upload any required document. E.g pay slip

Note: If your cooperative does not require this, you'll be redirected to the preview page after the repayment schedule page.

10. At the last stage, you'll get a preview of your loan application. Click on the "apply' button to be redirected for payment.

Note: If your cooperative doesn't charge for loan applications, your application will be submitted to the cooperative the moment you the button is clicked.

As soon as you make payments, the status of your loan will show "processing" until the payment is confirmed. Once your payment is confirmed, the status will change to pending, meaning your application has been submitted successfully to the cooperative for further action.
